Baobab & Neem is a female-led Ghanaian brand, founded by Esi, a female potter, who is committed to preserving the ancient Ghanaian traditional pottery techniques, passed down from generations. 

At Baobab & Neem, we believe that slow is beautiful. Our ceramic pieces are slowly handcrafted and designed for those who seek to live slowly, find beauty with purpose, and seek a deeper connection to the pieces they bring into their homes. 

Using pure earthenware Ghanaian clay, bio- friendly, and sustainable processes, we slowly design and handcraft timeless pieces that embody warmth, authenticity, and respect for nature. 

Our ceramic pieces are handcrafted using time-honored traditional Ghanaian pottery techniques passed down through generations. Guided by sustainability and mindfulness, our Baobab pieces are shaped by skilled female master potters in Ghana, celebrating both their craftsmanship, skill, resilience and cultural heritage.

  • Ghana is blessed with different types of clay, the most popular type being earthen-ware clay. We use a mixture of earthen-ware clay from different regions.

  • Yes, our pieces are safe for everyday use. While our pieces can go in the microwave and dishwasher, we recommend hand washing for longevity.

  • We do! We carefully pack your pieces, ensuring it arrives safely wherever you are in the world.
